Saving Custom Labels

In this next example, we custom labeled some of the lettered craters in the region north of the crater, Plato. In order to save the labels for future retrieval, click Label Groups (as shown).

The following Save/Load Labels Dialog will be displayed. Click Save Labels Displayed, to open the Save As Dialog. Select a name for the group of labels, and click Save.

The next time you want to display the labels, click Label Groups, and then click Get Labels Saved.

When the Open Dialog is displayed, highlight the label group you want, and click Open. The Save/Load Labels Dialog will again appear on your screen, with the custom labels appearing in the window. Click Display Selected Labels, and the labels will appear on the map.

If you have multiple label groups, and want all of them to be displayed at once, place a check mark next to Select All, and click Display Selected Labels.

VERY IMPORTANT: IF THE FEATURE FINDER IS IN YOUR WAY, YOU CAN MINIMIZE IT, BUT NEVER CLOSE IT BEFORE PRINTING OR SAVING YOUR LABELS, OR YOUR CUSTOM LABELS WILL BE DELETED.
