(SDM) is
the central component of SICOM. SDM functions as the top-level executive, providing access
to and control over subsidiary modules, the SICOM plug-ins.
SICOM can be used in two ways, as a:
1. Stand-alone independent program
2. Server that provides GIS services to a client application
The application developer can design the look and
feel of SDM to suit his/her needs, using the SICOM Profiler utility.
