MapAPI.getFormat

string getFormat()

This method returns one of the following strings:

• CARIS Conventional
• CARIS Layered
• ESRI

Any persistent map will have either the "CARIS Layered" or "ESRI" format, as defined by the header section of its Spatial Agent File (.SAF).  A vertical profile will have the "CARIS Conventional" format (See ViewMngrAPI.createVerticalProfile).
