MouseModeAPI.getRespondingViewIndex

int getRespondingViewIndex()

This method returns the zero-based index of the view in which the user clicked the mouse. A valid index is provided only after isSynchronousOpComplete returns TRUE.  The method returns -1 if no view has been set.

Migration note for v2.5 developers: this method replaces SvcManager.getStatus in the sense that it is no longer necessary to first determine the status of a feature selection operation.  Instead, the developer should attempt to obtain the selected feature list directly.  If there is no selection, the list will be empty.  (See Retrieving Selected-Feature Info).
